LIVING IN A MESSY ENVIRONMENT-What?
Our attitude is killing us as in the way we do things, the way we think, the way we talk, the way we respect the legal systems to mention but a few. Honestly look at potholed nature of our roads especially in the city, look at the Temangalo land saga in the NSSF deal, and look at how we manage our waste at home, offices, on trips everything is getting a little messy, what a heck is going on with our subconscious and conscious mind? Are we a little tipsy or we are just irresponsible in the way we act? Think about it please. When shall we change? One day I was having some chat with some Rwandan democrat who surely has his country at heart but the way they do things is a little different compared to our counter parts in Uganda. Talking about the issue of boda boda business, the rules are clear both parties involved in the transaction must put on the helmet, short of that the law will take its course.Uh! Isn’t that awesome? But if that is to happen in Uganda, people will blame the political settings right from head to bottom. But that is the whole truth, people don’t want to change. Look at American politics, Obama uses lipstick on a pig to explain change but people don’t get it still, what’s wrong with human nature? I think the spiritual aspect is morally lacking in our lives that is why the cultural dynamics are diminishing at a terrific speed. Yes Museveni is the president of this nation but we don’t have to blame him for all the mess in this country. People fail their political, social, economic, cultural resources, immediately they shift the blame to the president. I think we need to change our attitude if success is to come our way. One bright morning I was watching al jazera news about Iraq’s politics, Americans are to blame for their failure in life but any way is that true?
